We are Kati & Christoph, the founders of Wagyu Sauerland. Six years ago, we started our company together – driven by our passion for sustainable Wagyu breeding, animal welfare, and top-quality meat. Every year, we host trade fairs and tasting events, sharing our love for cooking and fine food with fellow enthusiasts.
The idea for Wagyu Sauerland was born during Christoph’s overseas jobs in Australia. While working on a Wagyu farm, he had the chance to try Wagyu beef for the first time – and was instantly amazed. Back home, it was clear: We were going to do something new – we would breed Wagyu cattle!
Today, we have everything from rearing to marketing in our own hands and show that you can produce an incredibly delicious end product with a lot of animal welfare, respect and care! Because we do all of this with so much passion, we are delighted to have been on the podium at the Wagyu Meat Contest for the third time in a row in 2023.
